I featured the lovely illustrations of Maggie Mattoni previously, but the website has now been launched. So if you want an alternative/retro/mod inspired card, bag or t.shirt then check out the website: http://www.peggyjane.co.uk/. I especially love the Christmas range, just gorgeous!

Alice in Wonderland party
My twin girls turn three next week and I am busy planning an Alice in Wonderland party....hence the lack of blogging. I haven't had chance to look at all the blogs I follow for weeks either. Am missing the inspiration! I've been researching for a while and there are so many amazing party planners out there. Plus I purchased 'Everything Alice' by Hannah Read-Baldrey & Christine Leech. http://everythingalice.co.uk/ It is brilliant for a Mad Hatters Tea Party, but also gives you great ideas and techniques that you can adapt for any theme. So have a have a sneak peak at the party crafts so far. Firstly, there is a take on the 'Everything Alice' shadow theatre, which i've combined with a book papercraft and then secondly are signs and cake hat boxes, which will be the party bag to take home. Its been a real family affair with my mum, sister and niece all helping.....as well as the kids!

Vintage Child: Modern Etsy Store
The clue to this range is in the name....Vintage styling and fabrics for a modern child. Lovely detailing with peter pan collars, pleating, oversized bows and quirky rabbit ears! Great printed fabrics and for some styles you can select which fabric you prefer. Its a very girly range, but isn't too cutesy. Bold prints / colours and indeed bold styling give the range an edge. I think you could team up the beautiful dresses / skirts / bloomers with battered converse and knee high socks. Yeah I know thats my answer to most outfits, but hey there is nothing cooler on a little kid! Well at least thats what I keep telling my girls. You can check out their store on Etsy and also find them on Facebook. See the links below. Images courtesy of :http://www.etsy.com/shop/VintageChildModern?ref=seller_info

100 Post - Helen Dardik
This is my 100th post, so I thought i'd feature one of my favourite illustrators. (The pattern fill of 100) I have been following her blog for a few years and her work gives me emence joy. Her illustrations are just so lovely. Fun, quirky, colourful and with a hint towards 50's/60's illustration. I will do a more indepth feature in the future, but for the moment Helen Dardik Dilly loves you! Check out her amazing work: http://www.oneluckyhelen.com/

Une Sardine a Rio
I came across this gorgeous French label via facebook. It is an ecological brand using organic, fairtrade, sustainable fabrics, recycled labels / packaging, printed from ecological printers as well as making sure that all production is respectful to the individual. With all that in mind, there is still an attention to detail and design. Beautiful clothing for 0-6yrs, 'a desire to dress kids with style and meaning'. I am especially loving the mustard highlights, it being autumn and all. The styling is sophisticated, yet quirky! Great attention to the detailing and colour palette. I really like the oversizing of the dresses, it adds a naivity to the styling. So have a look at the website and follow news and updates via the blog /facebook!
