BOOkidswear

I have been a little bit quiet of late, the usual disillusion mixed with the constant nagging of 'what am I going to do now!!!'  Sprinkled with lots of other projects, but then something always grabs me and I am compelled to share. BOO by BOOkidswear is the most innovative girlswear I have seen for sometime.  Really quirky, with geometric, graphic detailing and detachable adornments such as baby animals.  I love the photography and the beautifully illustrated backdrops.  Plus a great use of colour.

Unfortunately, I cannot find out much about this label other than it is based in Croatia and I think the little girl in the photos is the designers daughter.  Hopefully, I will be able to find out more information and bring it to you.  But for now, check out her Etsy Store and Pinterest boards.....I think you will agree, it is a real find.  Thank you Bookidswear for restoring my faith!

Shorties

I first came across Shorties whilst looking at the LMNOP Blog and their advertisement caught my eye. They then started following me on Pinterest, so I decided to have a proper look at their website.  It is a childrenswear shop based in Newtown, Sydney, Australia and they specialise in original and retro inspired clothing/toys.  As well as supporting handmade/handcrafted items from local designers, previously unseen designers and their own label Dragstar.  There are so many lovely images and products, it is just a shame that it is over the other side of the world, I would love to pay it a visit!  Below are a few choice picks, but make sure you click on the link and discover their website, Facebook Page & Pinterest.

Ketchup on Everything

Kay Vincent is the Print Designer behind 'Ketchup on Everything' and I am always pinning her illustration images on Pinterest.  So today I decided to have a look at her profile, which led me to her website and ultimately a love of her prints!  How gorgeous is this animal alphabet print?  Click on the link and see more of her work, plus you can like her on Facebook here and buy off Etsy here.

Vindie Baby

Vindie Baby is an online Boutique that specialises in Vintage inspired clothing for girls, founded by a husband and wife team after the birth of their first daughter.  I came across this website via Pinterest.  It was just an image of a top, but it grabbed my attention and after further investigation I fell in love with their beautiful designs.  I think you will agree with me that the diversity and originality of the products are not only refreshing and beautiful, but I love the styling.  Some outfits are really quirky, especially in the Kyru & Lobo Range (a one-of-a-kind collection & my favourite!) but then other outfits have subtle contrasts, like the beautiful dress below teamed up with floral leggings....perfect!  There is so much to see on their website and pins on Pinterest so why not take a look.

Pinterest Trend

Today there has been a really random trend on Pinterest...sailor suits.  It has been a strange coincidence because I have been planning to dress one of my girls in a sailor inspired outfit. (Its their school's Centenary and they have to dress Edwardian, Nico is not a fan of skirts!)   As I went through Pinterest today I came across lots of different sailor outfits for kids.  Usually in the fashion world 'nautical' is kept for Spring, however, this theme has spread to other areas too.  There are some great illustrations out there, but this was my favourite!  Don't you just love the denim fish?  And some great styling.....here is my round-up!

COCOmag

One of the exciting things about social media is that you get exposed to all sorts of people and brands that you wouldn't necessarily see.  COCOmag is a Japanese kids lifestyle magazine that started following me on Pinterest and naturally I reciprocated.  It has become a really resource.  I am a great fan of Japanese fashion however, COCOmag features clothing and brands from around the world.   They have a great website (although the translation  I use probably isn't that great!  Still pictures speak a thousand words)  There are cool features, trend reviews, styling, great graphics and links to fashion brands/shops.  It is a really cool website, so click on the link above and take a look.
